We found a place to park and headed toward what appeared to be a Visitor's Center. Once again, we were up before the natives, so we followed our noses to a coffee shop. The brew was fine and the view from the veranda was pleasing.
We made our way up the street just as a few shops were opening. The wares were intriguing and at least one purchase was made.
The Copper Queen Hotel had to be investigated.
It was a vintage beauty.
Next we went to check out the Shady Lane RV park, home of vintage Airstream and Spartan trailers for overnight rental. The office post indicated that there were no vacancies. We strolled around the park and enjoyed stepping back in time, but we saw NO ONE. One ac unit seemed to be running, but that was the extent of the activity. Hope this bit of Americana does not disappear. It is just too 1950's!
We followed a shop keeper's advice and made our way across the road to the Bisbee Breakfast Club for lunch. It was worth the trip. The food was delicious, and the local color was vibrant!
We found Bisbee, AZ a delightful stop. Whenever we find ourselves this far west on I 10, it is a for sure destination!
The real estate looked intriguing, and the prices were all over the map. Can you imagine living on this hillside?
